Fatal crash in Hawkins County on Highway 11W
A fatal crash occurred in Hawkins County, Tennessee on Wednesday evening, as reported by the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP). The incident took place at the intersection of US Highway 11W and Ruritan Road around 8:18 p.m. A Dodge Caravan had stopped on Ruritan Road when a Nissan Titan traveling northbound on 11W collided with it. Sadly, the 74-year-old driver of the Dodge Caravan, Louise E. Smith, lost her life in the accident. The Nissan driver, however, reportedly escaped without injuries.
