Fatal crash in Greenville leaves one dead and one injured
GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) -- At approximately 5 p.m. May 22, Greenville Police Department responded to reports of a motor vehicle collision in the area of Stantonsburg Road near Farm Drive. Preliminary findings indicate that a Chevrolet Malibu, driven by Billy Jerome Jordan, 45, of Greenville, was traveling westbound on Stantonsburg Road when the vehicle crossed the center line, traveling across three lanes of traffic before striking a Toyota Camry head-on. Jordan was pronounced deceased at the scene and the driver of the Toyota Camry, a 62-year-old woman, sustained serious injuries and remains hospitalized. The GPD’s Traffic Safety Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
