Fatal crash in Glasscock County caused by dangerous turn, leading to death of Midland resident
A man from Midland tragically lost his life in a fatal collision on Thursday at the junction of State Highway 137 and State Highway 158 in Glasscock County, Texas. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred at 1:55 p.m. on October 30 when a Chevrolet Silverado attempted a left turn from SH 137 onto the SH 158 service road, resulting in a collision with a Peterbilt semi-truck. The driver of the semi-truck, who was wearing a seatbelt, fortunately escaped unharmed. Unfortunately, the driver of the Silverado, identified as 50-year-old Christopher Paul Gomez-Brooks, was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash is currently under investigation, and no additional information is available at this time.
