Fatal crash in Gallia County under investigation
A tragic accident occurred in Bidwell, Ohio on Saturday evening as a man lost his life in a single-vehicle crash on State Route 850. The victim, identified as Jeremy Morehart, 35, was traveling southbound when his vehicle veered off the road, hitting a sign and ditch before flipping over. Sadly, Morehart was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle. The incident also resulted in the vehicle striking another sign. The scene was attended by various agencies, including the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Gallia County Sheriff's Office, Gallia County EMS, Springfield Township Fire Department, Stapleton Towing, Gallia County Coroner, and Willis Funeral Home. The road was closed for investigation for two and a half hours, with further inquiries ongoing.
