Fatal crash in Gallatin County involving 13-year-old driver.
A tragic accident occurred in Gallatin County on Sunday, June 15, 2025 that resulted in the death of a 13-year-old boy from Belgrade. The incident took place at approximately 1:20 a.m. near the intersection of Woodbury Avenue and Frontage Road. While driving westbound on Frontage Road in a Subaru Legacy, the boy crossed the center line, overcorrected, and the vehicle veered off the right side of the road, ultimately overturning several times. The driver was rushed to Bozeman Health Deaconess but succumbed to his injuries. The name of the boy has not been disclosed, and he was the only occupant in the car. Montana Highway Patrol has indicated that the boy was not wearing a seatbelt, and they suspect that alcohol/drugs and speeding were contributing factors.
