Fatal crash in Florida claims life of Gloversville woman

A Gloversville resident tragically passed away in a recent collision between two vehicles in Florida, New York. The incident involved an SUV and a pickup truck at the crossing of State Highway 161 and Fort Hunter Road on Tuesday evening. Authorities responded to find the overturned SUV with emergency services assisting the occupants. While the passenger was unharmed, the driver required extraction and was transported to St. Mary's Hospital. The pickup truck's occupants also needed extraction; the driver and front passenger were taken to Albany Medical Center by ambulance, and the rear passenger was airlifted to the same center. The SUV driver, 62-year-old Colleen Cahill, sadly succumbed to her injuries at St. Mary's Hospital. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is conducting an investigation into the crash.
