Fatal crash in Ewa Beach results in one death, three injured
The Honolulu Emergency Medical Services were called to a fatal crash in Ewa Beach on the morning of July 12, as confirmed by the department. This incident on Fort Weaver Road near Renton Road involved two vehicles. The collision occurred when a 37-year-old man, accompanied by an 18-year-old and another younger male, was driving northbound on the road at a high speed, based on police reports. The man crashed with a 72-year-old male driver, resulting in the northbound vehicle flipping over and the driver being thrown onto the median. The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, succumbed to his severe injuries at the scene. His two young passengers sustained serious injuries and were hospitalized, while the 72-year-old man was in critical condition and also taken to the hospital according to EMS. This incident represented the 43rd traffic fatality on Oʻahu in 2025, an increase from 19 fatalities at the same time in 2024.
