Fatal crash in Dodge County: Watertown man killed, semi driver hurt

A fatal accident occurred in Dodge County on Friday morning, June 13, resulting in the death of a man from Watertown. The incident took place in the town of Oak Grove at approximately 10:10 a.m. According to the sheriff's office, the 42-year-old man was driving north on County Highway A/I when he failed to navigate a slight curve, causing him to drift into the southbound lane and collide with a semi-truck traveling in the opposite direction near County Highway S. The crash forced the semi to block both lanes of traffic, while the man's car came to a halt against a tree. Emergency responders had to extract the man from his vehicle and airlifted him to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the semi sustained minor injuries and was also taken to a hospital. Various local emergency services, including the Dodge County Sheriff's Office, Flight for Life, Juneau Fire Department, Juneau EMS, Beaver Dam Fire Department, Beaver Dam Paramedics, Horicon Fire Department, Horicon EMS, Burnett Fire Department, Juneau Police Department, and DCERT, assisted at the scene.
