Fatal crash in Delano kills 2, injures 1
Two individuals lost their lives in a Delano crash early last Thursday morning, as reported by the California Highway Patrol. The tragic incident occurred when a 21-year-old driver of a black Acura was speeding eastbound on Woollomes Avenue and veered off the road, resulting in a collision with metal and wooden poles. The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead on the scene. One of the passengers, 19-year-old Andru Luque Felix, also suffered fatal injuries. Another 19-year-old female passenger in the rear seat sustained moderate to major injuries and was transported to Kern Medical. The CHP closed down Woollomes Avenue for approximately three hours for the investigation and cleanup.
