Fatal crash in Defiance County results in 1 death, 1 critical injury
A fatal collision involving two vehicles in Defiance County, Ohio is currently being investigated by the Ohio State Highway Patrol Defiance Post. The incident occurred when a man driving an SUV failed to yield at a stop sign on Buckskin Road and collided with a car traveling north on The Bend Road. The SUV veered off the road and hit a utility box and a stop sign, while the car flipped over. Sadly, the driver of the car, Mary Chapman, 63, passed away at the hospital. Her passenger, John Chapman, 42, sustained severe injuries and was airlifted to another medical facility. The SUV driver suffered minor injuries. Officials emphasize the importance of obeying traffic signs and wearing seat belts. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
