
Fatal crash in Davie believed to be caused by street racing, two dead and two injured, according to police.
Authorities are looking into a tragic hit-and-run incident in Davie that resulted in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to two others early Sunday morning. The investigation revealed that two motorcycles carrying four riders were struck by multiple vehicles, possibly three or four, racing in the northbound lanes. Two victims were fatally injured, while the other two sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital. The Davie Police Department responded to the collision scene at around midnight near the area of 3400 South SR-7. The drivers of the vehicles involved in the racing incident fled the scene, prompting an ongoing investigation. Information about the deceased has not been disclosed pending notification of their family members. Authorities are asking anyone who witnessed the crash to contact the Davie Police Department or Broward Crime Stoppers. Road closures were in effect during the cleanup but have since been lifted.
