
Fatal crash in Dallas as driver hits pedestrian
A tragic incident occurred in Dallas on Monday night, resulting in the death of a pedestrian and a car driver involved in a single-vehicle crash. The accident took place on the 300 block of East Ledbetter Drive around 9 p.m., prompting a response from the police. Upon arrival, authorities discovered one man on the ground and another trapped inside a vehicle. The man on the ground was transported to a nearby hospital but sadly passed away shortly after. Firefighters had to extricate the driver from the car, who was pronounced dead at the scene. According to investigators, the driver of a Nissan Maxima was traveling west on East Ledbetter Drive, lost control, veered onto the sidewalk, and struck the pedestrian before hitting a light pole. The exact cause of the driver losing control has not been determined by the police, and the identities of both individuals have not been disclosed by the medical examiner's office.
