Fatal crash in Colorado Springs
The Colorado Springs Police Department reported a fatal accident on Sunday night where one person lost their life after their vehicle veered off Dublin Boulevard. The incident, which occurred just west of Cloud Dancer Drive in Colorado Springs, was responded to by authorities around 10:45 p.m. Upon their arrival, officers discovered a vehicle that had left the road and crashed into a tree in the median. The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, with their identity still unknown at the time of writing. Another vehicle was also affected by the collision as it was side-swiped by the same driver before the crash. Fortunately, the driver of the second vehicle did not sustain any injuries. The CSPD Major Crash team took over the investigation, and the road was reopened by 12:50 a.m.
