Fatal crash in Citrus Heights closes road
There has been a fatal two-vehicle collision in Citrus Heights, as reported by the Citrus Heights Police. The incident occurred at the intersection of Madison Avenue and Fleetwood Drive at 8:17 p.m. Upon reaching the scene, authorities discovered a collision involving an overturned pickup truck and a sedan, both sustaining significant damage. The driver of the pickup truck was unharmed and stayed at the site, while unfortunately, the driver of the sedan was declared deceased despite rescue efforts. To manage the situation, Citrus Heights Police have shut down the westbound lanes of Madison at San Juan, with an expected reopening time between 11:30 p.m. and midnight.
