Fatal crash in Chilton County claims life of Calera resident
A tragic incident took place on Saturday afternoon in Chilton County, Alabama, resulting in the loss of a life. Bradley J. Goggins, a 34-year-old from Calera, was fatally injured in a two-vehicle collision on U.S. 31 near Jemison. Reports from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency indicate that Goggins, who was driving a pickup truck, collided head-on with another pickup truck. Sadly, Goggins had not buckled up at the time of the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the second vehicle, also noncompliant with seat belt use, was transported to UAB Hospital for medical care. ALEA's Highway Patrol Division is currently investigating the details of the crash.
