Fatal crash in Butler County injures two children
In Butler County, a tragic incident has resulted in the passing of a woman from Wichita, with two young children being hospitalized. The incident occurred after Harley R. Wright, 27, embarked on a journey with a 5-year-old and a 6-year-old from a family gathering towards El Dorado. However, they never reached their destination, prompting family members to contact the El Dorado Police Department for a welfare check. Following a search, a crash site was discovered at NW 30th and NW Tawakoni Road near Benton, where it seemed that Wright's vehicle had rolled over, leading to her and the children being thrown out. Regrettably, Wright was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the children were transported to a Wichita hospital in serious condition. The Butler County Sheriff's Office and the Kansas Highway Patrol are diligently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash, with the timeline of events still unclear.
