Fatal crash in Angren, Uzbekistan: 7 fatalities

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a tragic incident resulted in the deaths of seven individuals at the scene, as reported by News.Az. The driver of a Shacman cement truck, identified as A.R. born in 1981 and having 15 years of driving experience, lost control of the vehicle, leading to a collision with two cargo vehicles and five passenger cars at a railway crossing. This collision caused a significant fire, which was promptly extinguished by special services. Seven individuals lost their lives, five were hospitalized with severe injuries, while four others received medical treatment and were sent home. Following the gravity of the situation, a government commission, led by Deputy Prime Minister Ochilboy Ramatov, was established. The commission's primary focus is on providing necessary support to the victims and their families, as well as conducting a legal assessment of the circumstances surrounding the tragedy. Authorities stressed the importance of road safety, highlighting how even minor negligence can have severe outcomes. Investigations into the incident are currently ongoing.
