Fatal crash forces closure of eastbound I-690.
A fatal accident in Geddes, NY, led to the closure of I-690 eastbound for a few hours on August 21. The incident, involving a Ford F-250 pickup truck and a Suzuki motorcycle, resulted in the death of a 21-year-old motorcyclist from Baldwinsville. The pickup truck driver, who caused the crash while changing lanes, was unharmed and tested negative for impairment. The investigation, led by the State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit, is still ongoing.
