Fatal crash concludes police pursuit in southwest OKC
A man was killed and another critically injured after a robbery led to a police chase in southwest Oklahoma City. The pursuit ended with their vehicle crashing on South Portland Avenue, causing damage to a mailbox, trash cans, and another car. Despite the chaos, neighbors remained unharmed, except for one person who was hit by a brick in the leg. The area reopened after being blocked off for investigation. Sky 5 captured aerial footage of the incident as it happened earlier in the day. The events began with a reported disturbance, possibly a robbery, at a fast-food restaurant near Reno and Meridian avenues, which escalated into a high-speed chase. The suspects' vehicle eventually lost control and crashed on Portland Avenue. One occupant died, while the other is in critical condition at the hospital. Investigations are ongoing.
