Fatal crash closes section of southbound John Kilpatrick Turnpike
The southbound lanes of the John Kilpatrick Turnpike near Northwest 23rd are currently closed due to a serious accident. The incident, involving a semi-truck and at least one other vehicle, occurred around 3:47 a.m. Saturday, according to the Oklahoma City Fire Department. The semi reportedly caught fire, and multiple ambulances responded to the scene. Sadly, one person has been confirmed dead by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, while the injuries of others involved are still being assessed.
