Fatal crash closes outbound lanes on I-45
A serious accident on I-45 North near West Road has resulted in the closure of all northbound lanes on Friday morning. Emergency responders were called to the location at around 9:10 a.m. close to Korff Drive. The crash involved one vehicle and was confirmed as fatal by Houston TranStar at 9:48 a.m. Authorities state that the accident scene, including all main lanes, shoulders, and center lanes, is still closed as investigations and cleanup efforts are underway. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and find alternative routes, without a set time for the freeway's reopening. As an option, drivers can exit before Parker Road or take Eastex Freeway.
