Fatal crash closed Highway 288 ramps near McHard Road, police say
HOUSTON (CW39) — A person was killed in a rollover crash early Thursday morning on Highway 288 near McHard Road in Pearland, police said. The crash happened around 1 a.m. Thursday as a car with four people inside hit a rail near the HOV lane and flipped over, Pearland police said. A woman was declared dead at the scene, while the three other occupants in the car were taken to local hospitals. Police did not give conditions on the other three victims. The HOV lane on Highway 288 is still shut down due to rail damage. The left interchange ramp and right interchange ramp on 288 are still closed as police continue the investigation.
