Fatal crash claims lives of three children on State Road 79 in Washington County
In Washington County, Florida, a tragic car accident took the lives of three children during a collision involving two vehicles. The incident, which occurred on State Road 79 north of County Road 280, involved a Mazda SUV carrying three adults and four children. The SUV, driven by a 24-year-old woman from Georgia, was moving at a slow speed in the outside northbound lane when it was hit from behind by a Ford pickup truck driven by a 23-year-old man from Alabama. Both vehicles veered off the road, with the pickup truck facing east and the SUV hitting a tree before overturning. The SUV driver sustained critical injuries, and three of the children lost their lives - two at the scene and one at Bay Medical. The pickup truck driver suffered minor injuries. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the tragic accident.
