Fatal crash claims life of woman in Rexford
A tragic incident occurred in Lincoln County, resulting in the death of a 71-year-old woman from Rexford. The Montana Highway Patrol responded to a one-vehicle crash on Yaak River Road, near mile marker 48 at 1:25 p.m. on a Sunday afternoon. The crash involved a Can-Am Quadricycle driven by a 70-year-old man from Rexford. The vehicle was heading westbound when it veered off the road and overturned multiple times after the driver overcorrected. Unfortunately, the female passenger lost her life at the scene while the driver sustained injuries and was transported to Logan Health in Kalispell. The Montana Highway Patrol suspects that speed may have been a factor in the crash.
