Fatal crash claims life of teenager
A teenager tragically lost his life in a single-vehicle accident in Yellowstone County on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. Reports from the Montana Highway Patrol indicate that the 17-year-old was driving a Ford Focus eastbound on I-90, approximately two miles west of Laurel just after midnight. The MHP stated that the adolescent, who was the only person in the vehicle, failed to navigate a right turn and veered into the median. Following a collision with a delineator post, the car re-entered the road and rolled multiple times, causing the teenager to be thrown from the vehicle and fatally injured on the spot. At present, the boy's identity remains undisclosed. The Montana Highway Patrol suspects that alcohol and/or drugs played a role in the accident and noted that the teen was not wearing a seatbelt.
