Fatal crash claims life of teenage boy
A tragic incident occurred early Sunday morning near Belgrade, resulting in the loss of a 13-year-old boy's life. Reports from the Montana Highway Patrol indicate that the boy, a resident of Belgrade, was driving on Frontage Road in a single-vehicle accident. The vehicle crossed the center line, then veered off to the right side of the road after overcorrecting. The car overturned several times before finally coming to a stop. The accident happened at 1:21 am at the intersection of Frontage Rd and Woodbury Ave. The boy driver was taken to Bozeman Health Deaconess but unfortunately passed away from the injuries sustained in the crash. The MHP suggests that the boy was not wearing a seatbelt and that factors such as alcohol, drugs, and speed likely played a role in the tragedy.
