Fatal crash claims life of Ozona man in Texas
In an update from Concho Valley Homepage, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has reported a fatal single-vehicle accident in Irion County on August 6. The incident involved a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro driven by Ezequiel Vela Martinez, a 59-year-old resident of Ozona, Texas. The crash occurred at 5:29 p.m. on August 5, around four miles north of Barnhart on U.S. 67, according to DPS. The initial findings suggest that the car was heading south on U.S. 67 near Barnhart when, for reasons yet to be determined, it veered into the northbound lanes and crashed into a rock in the south ditch. Unfortunately, Martinez, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
