Fatal crash claims life of Alton woman on I-64
A tragic incident occurred early Tuesday morning in St. Louis County, Missouri, resulting in the death of a woman from Alton. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the fatal single-vehicle crash involving a Honda CRV happened around 12:40 a.m. on westbound I-64 near Big Bend Boulevard. According to the MSHP, the driver veered off the right side of the road, striking a guardrail. Despite wearing a seatbelt, the 44-year-old woman was unable to survive her injuries after being taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
