Fatal crash claims life of 42-year-old woman near Shawnee Park
A tragic incident occurred near Shawnee Park this past weekend, resulting in the death of a woman. The police were called to the 4500 block of W Broadway around 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 20 following a single-vehicle crash. The driver, identified as 42-year-old Lashonda Daugherty, was traveling west on Broadway and veered off the road, colliding with a tree. The impact caused her vehicle to overturn onto the driver's side. Daugherty was rescued from her vehicle and transported to the hospital but unfortunately passed away shortly after her arrival, as reported by the police.
