Fatal crash claims Juniata High School student, according to district

A teenager from Juniata High School tragically passed away in a car accident that occurred over the weekend, as reported by the Juniata County School District. The incident involved a 15-year-old from East Waterford who was driving a Toyota RAV4 on Route 35 South near Hopple Lane in Tuscarora Township when the crash took place. According to Pennsylvania State Police, the teenager was on a FaceTime call with a friend when the car veered off the road, collided with a tree, and caught fire. The teenager, whose identity has not been disclosed, was the only occupant in the vehicle and unfortunately did not survive. The school district has offered resources and support for those affected by this tragic event, expressing heartfelt condolences to the student's family and friends.
