Fatal crash causes closure of Southbound Interstate 19
The Arizona Department of Public Safety has reported a fatal two-car crash on southbound Interstate 19 at milepost 83, resulting in two casualties. As a result, southbound I-19 is closed at San Xavier Rd, with traffic being redirected to exit at that location. Although northbound I-19 is currently open, it may also close soon. Crews from the Santa Rita Fire Department are also attending another crash on northbound I-19 at milepost 84, causing heavy traffic in that direction.
