Fatal crash caused by Mustang driver who drank alcohol before driving

A Wilkinson man from Hancock County has been arrested after a fatal crash involving a vehicle that was not his own, as reported on Saturday evening. Alexander Ray, aged 32, has been charged as per court documents filed in Hancock County, following a collision between a white car and a Mustang on State Road 234. The crash occurred between County Road 600 East and County Road 675 East at around 7:30 p.m., leading to the closure of State Road 234 in both directions. Witnesses at the scene stated that the Mustang, driven by Ray, was traveling at a high speed when it collided with the white car, resulting in a fatality. Ray, who was visibly upset after the accident, mentioned to officers about his alcohol consumption and claimed to have permission to drive the Mustang, which belonged to someone else. However, the car owner disputed this claim and expressed the intent to press charges against Ray for using the vehicle without consent.
