
Fatal crash caused by intoxicated driver in Grand Prairie
The Grand Prairie Police Department is currently looking into a deadly accident that happened in the early hours of this morning on Interstate 30 near MacArthur Blvd. A Dodge truck with a utility trailer was on the emergency shoulder adjusting its towing straps when it was hit from behind by a Nissan passenger car. According to traffic investigators, the Nissan driver, who will face charges of intoxication manslaughter, was allegedly drunk. Sadly, the passenger in the Nissan passed away at the scene, while the driver sustained injuries. The Dodge truck driver was unharmed, and their identity has not been disclosed. The victim's identity will be made public by the Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office after notifying the family. The driver of the Nissan has not been named. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
