Fatal crash: Car attempts to outrun train, resulting in death
A fatal incident occurred in Brevard County when a vehicle collided with a Brightline train at the intersection of Eyster Blvd. and Rockledge. Brevard County Fire Rescue confirmed the death of one person in the crash. The driver of the vehicle attempted to beat the oncoming train at the intersection, resulting in the collision. The area will be closed off for some time, as stated by BCFR. FOX 35 is seeking further information from Brightline and the Brevard County Sheriff's Office. A FOX 35 producer who was onboard the train heading towards Miami witnessed the flames from the crash and noted the delay caused by the ongoing investigation.
