Fatal crash between woman and semi-truck on I-20 in DeKalb County
Early Monday morning, a tragic accident occurred on Interstate 20 East in DeKalb County, resulting in the death of a woman following a collision with an 18-wheeler. The incident occurred near Lithonia Industrial Boulevard at approximately 2:40 a.m., leading to the closure of all eastbound lanes for several hours. Police reported that a woman in her 30s crashed into the back of a semi-truck that was halted due to construction. Subsequently, her vehicle went beneath the trailer and ended up in the center lane, where it was hit by another car. Unfortunately, the woman was pronounced deceased on the scene. The DeKalb County Police Department is still investigating the matter and has not disclosed any potential charges at this time.
