Fatal Crash at Memorial Park: Teen killed in collision with concrete barrier, another person injured
Houston police are looking into a fatal collision involving two vehicles in the Memorial Park area on Thursday night. Lieutenant Larry Crowson states that officers responded to the incident on Memorial Parkway near Picnic Lane at around 8 p.m. The crash involved a gray sedan traveling at high speed and a white vehicle at a normal pace. The 17-year-old driver of the gray sedan rear-ended the white vehicle, causing it to cross over into eastbound lanes. The teenager then lost control, hitting a pole and a barrier, resulting in his death at the scene. The person driving the white vehicle was hospitalized. Details about the deceased individual and the white vehicle's driver were not disclosed. The investigation is ongoing.
