Fatal crash at home on near northwest side of Indianapolis
In Indianapolis on Saturday afternoon, a fatal crash occurred involving a vehicle and a residence in the near northwest side of the city. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to the 2700 block of Pixel Drive just off Lafayette Road around 3:14 p.m. following reports of the incident. An adult male victim was critically injured and later passed away from his injuries after being struck by the driver involved in the crash. IMPD confirmed that the driver contacted 911, stayed at the scene, and collaborated with investigators. The driver will undergo a blood draw, standard procedure for fatal crash inquiries. Although detectives believe the driver and victim were known to each other, police currently view the incident as an unfortunate accident with no malicious intent.
