Fatal Colorado crash between two semi trucks
The Colorado State Patrol shut down Highway 287 overnight after a three semitruck collision occurred near the Oklahoma state line late Wednesday night. A Peterbilt truck heading south crossed the center line and collided head-on with another Peterbilt truck traveling north, resulting in one truck catching fire while the other veered off the road. Sadly, the driver of the southbound truck passed away at the scene. The highway closure lasted approximately 10 hours as authorities conducted investigations and cleared the area. Witnesses of the crash were urged to reach out to CSP dispatch for assistance.
