Fatal collision with one survivor

A collision on Route 28 in Milton resulted in two deaths and one person sustaining severe injuries, forcing part of the road to close for several hours. The victims have been identified as a 71-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man, while another individual involved was hospitalized due to serious injuries. The impact of the crash was so forceful that an engine was thrown 20 yards away from its vehicle. According to officials, two cars collided, and a third was hit by debris. Emergency responders had to extract one trapped individual from a vehicle and transport them in a medical examiner's van. A witness, preferring to remain anonymous, described the distressing scene and advocated for improved safety measures on the road to prevent future incidents. They highlighted the road's notorious speeding issues and traffic congestion, emphasizing the need for intervention from both the governor and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. The crash is currently under investigation.
