Fatal collision under investigation in northeast Albuquerque.
Albuquerque police are currently looking into a lethal collision that occurred on the southbound lanes of Pan American Freeway at Jefferson Street NE, involving two vehicles. The incident occurred at approximately 4 p.m., not directly on the freeway. As a result, the northbound and southbound lanes of Pan American Freeway at Jefferson St. NE, along with the Jefferson bridge in both east and westbound directions, are temporarily closed due to the accident. Motorists are advised to steer clear of these exits and entrances to and from I-40.
