Fatal collision on Veterans Parkway
Two individuals lost their lives in a tragic collision at the intersection of 57th Street and Veterans Parkway in southeastern Sioux Falls over the weekend. The crash occurred on Friday evening when a car attempted a left turn onto 57th Street in front of an approaching pickup truck. The 78-year-old female passenger in the car passed away at the scene, while the 77-year-old male driver succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Both victims were residents of Lester, Iowa. The 35-year-old male driver of the pickup, who is from Harrisburg, sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
