Fatal collision on Route 15 in Wethersfield due to wrong-way driving
The Connecticut State Police reported a tragic incident where a woman from Manchester lost her life after driving in the wrong direction on Route 15 in Wethersfield. Wendy Lara, aged 30, was involved in a collision near Exit 85 in Wethersfield around midnight on a Saturday night. Her Toyota Camry LE collided head-on with another vehicle, resulting in damage to both cars. Lara was rushed to Hartford Hospital with severe injuries and sadly passed away there. The occupants of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries. The State Police are investigating the incident and encourage anyone with information to reach out to them at 860-534-1000.
