Fatal collision on I-94: Individual struck and killed while lying on ground, according to ISP
A fatal crash occurred on the Dan Ryan Expressway early Monday morning, resulting in the death of an individual who was struck by a vehicle. Illinois State Police reported that the incident took place around 4:32 a.m. on the northbound side of Interstate 94 near 75th Street. The victim, who was lying on the ground, was hit by a black Chevrolet SUV. Due to the ongoing investigation, several lanes of the expressway were temporarily shut down, with traffic moving through only the left lanes. Authorities are still working to determine the identity of the deceased individual, and the circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
