Fatal collision occurs after police pursuit in Hamilton County
The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is probing a collision that resulted in a fatality following a police chase in Sheridan on Thursday morning. Sheridan Police Department officers were in pursuit of a stolen vehicle when the suspect evaded them and failed to stop when requested. After momentarily losing sight of the suspect, law enforcement found the crashed vehicle in Veterans Park, where they provided medical aid to the driver who sadly succumbed to their injuries. The HCSO Crash Team is spearheading the investigation into the pursuit and tragic accident at the request of the Sheridan Police Department. The deceased individual remains unidentified as of now.
