Fatal collision involving motorcyclist and SUV in South Jordan
A tragic incident occurred in South Jordan, Utah, as a motorcycle rider lost his life in a collision on Tuesday evening. The motorcyclist, a 31-year-old man, was traveling north on Redwood Road when an SUV turned left into the parking lot of a Smith's grocery store at the intersection of Redwood and South Jordan Parkway, resulting in the collision. Despite wearing a helmet, the rider succumbed to his injuries after being taken to the hospital. The driver of the SUV, who was unharmed, is assisting with the investigation. Speed is suspected to have played a role in the crash, according to South Jordan Police. It is distressing for law enforcement to have to inform families of such tragic accidents, as this marks the second fatal motorcycle crash and the sixth deadly accident in South Jordan this year.
