Fatal collision involving CapMetro bus in Del Valle leaves 1 dead, 6 injured
A tragic accident occurred in southeastern Travis County Wednesday morning when a pickup truck collided head-on with a Capital Metro bus, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries. The Texas Department of Public Safety reported that at around 6:50 a.m., troopers arrived at the scene on Pearce Lane in Del Valle. The bus, transporting 16 individuals, including the driver, had six passengers sent to hospitals with injuries that were not incapacitating. Sadly, the truck driver did not survive the crash. Authorities revealed that the truck, identified as a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado, was driving on the wrong side of the road when the accident occurred. The deceased driver's name has not been disclosed at this time. The investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.
