Fatal collision involving CapMetro bus hurts multiple people
One person has been reported dead and multiple others were injured in a collision involving a CapMetro bus in southeastern Travis County. The incident occurred near Pearce Lane and Ross Road early Wednesday morning. Authorities from the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Travis County Sheriff's Office responded to the crash, in which a pickup truck collided head-on with the bus. The deceased individual was in the pickup truck, and their identity is being withheld. The bus had 16 passengers who sustained non-incapacitating injuries and were taken to the hospital. CapMetro is expected to release a statement in response to the incident. Road closures were in effect, and drivers were advised to seek alternate routes.
