Fatal collision in southwest Louisville between car and dirt bike
Authorities are currently investigating a fatal crash that occurred late Friday night in southwest Louisville. The incident involved a collision between a car and a dirt bike at the intersection of Taylor Boulevard and West Ashland Avenue around 10:30 p.m. Sadly, the man riding the dirt bike, who was not authorized to ride on the street, sustained life-threatening injuries. He was transported to UofL Hospital but succumbed to his injuries Saturday morning. While the man's identity has not been disclosed, authorities have confirmed he was an adult. The driver of the car remained at the site and is cooperating with law enforcement. The Louisville Metro Police Department's Traffic Unit is overseeing the investigation.
