Fatal collision in Somers involving pickup truck and SUV; 1 fatality, 1 injury
A tragic accident occurred in the Village of Somers on Sunday, resulting in the death of one individual and severe injuries to another. The incident involved a pickup truck and an SUV colliding head-on on County Highway E near Wood Road at around 6:30 p.m. The pickup truck was traveling eastbound while the SUV was heading westbound when the collision occurred. Sadly, the driver of the SUV passed away at the scene, and the pickup truck driver sustained serious injuries and was taken to the hospital. The authorities suspect that alcohol and/or drugs may have played a role in the crash. The Kenosha County Major Crash Assistance Team (MCAT) was called to investigate due to the fatality.
