Fatal collision in San Fernando Valley
Two individuals lost their lives in a tragic collision that took place in the Shadow Hills area of the San Fernando Valley on Monday afternoon. The incident occurred near Wheatland Avenue on Wentworth Street around 3:45 p.m., as reported by the Los Angeles Fire Department. Emergency responders discovered both victims trapped inside the severely damaged vehicles involved in the head-on crash. Tragically, both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the collision, indicating that one of the vehicles veered across the road unexpectedly, resulting in the fatal impact. The victims, a man in his 70s and a woman in her 50s, have yet to be publicly identified. The Valley Traffic Division investigators from the Los Angeles Police Department will be managing the case. Aerial footage captured by SkyCal showed the intense efforts of firefighters as they worked to extricate the victims from the wreckage.
